It struck me last night. No Military Solution for Iran or Palestine

It has been just over three months since Israel unilaterally declared an end to operation Cast Lead and withdrew its forces from the Gaza Strip following its 22 day onslaught there. Letter from Gaza
For the twenty-three days that the Israeli bombardment of Gaza persisted, I would wake up at four a.m. and sit with yesterday's paper, then read the news online, then walk to the local newsagent and get the day's paper. Suddenly it would be lunchtime. I could not respond when asked what I thought, or 'Isn't it terrible?' I spent too long online looking at photographs and watching videos, reading articles, listening to interviews. On the fourth of January, a week after the bombardment started, a friend sent me a piece he had written on the assault. I read it and wrote a long email that every other day I would edit and revise. In the end I never sent it.

People in the village of Kfar Milki in Iqlim Tuffah in South Lebanon today heard that the US ambassador in Lebanon was planning to visit the public school in the village to brag about a fistful of dollars that the US had donated. Quickly (and typically) a group of women and children gathered outside of the school in the village armed with signs, eggs, and old shoes. They started chanting and saying that they may allow the ambassdor to visit the village if the US stops giving bombs to Israel. The ambassador heard of the noise and the commotion and decided to cancel the trip. This was based on a report on NBN.

It struck me last night. The body of articles on Lebanon by Zionist and right-wing Western journalists who have been invited and accommodated by the Hariri family (using a variety of names of various organizations that are funded by the family) is striking how they all sound the same. Not a single iota of dissent: they all see the situation in Lebanon in the same lense, which tells you why they were invited in the first place. No Military Solution for Iran or Palestine

Suddenly it would be lunchtime. I could not respond when asked what I thought, or 'Isn't it terrible?' I spent too long online looking at photographs and watching videos, reading articles, listening to interviews. People in the village of Kfar Milki in Iqlim Tuffah in South Lebanon today heard that the US ambassador in Lebanon was planning to visit the public school in the village to brag about a fistful of dollars that the US had donated. Quickly (and typically) a group of women and children gathered outside of the school in the village armed with signs, eggs, and old shoes. They started chanting and saying that they may allow the ambassdor to visit the village if the US stops giving bombs to Israel. The Bomb Iran Faction
