PHYSICALLY CHALLENGED PERSONS  SHOULD BE GIVEN DUE HONOUR AND RESPECT - SHRI  JATUA

The Union Minister of State for Information & Broadcasting Shri C M Jatua urged people to treat the physically challenged persons as the equal partner in the society. He was speaking today at a function in Raghunathpur, Mandirbazar of South 24-Parganas district.

 

He said  that they should be given due honour and respect. There is provision for government assistance to make the physically handicapped persons self-reliant. The Panchayat members and Gram Pradhan can play an effective role in this respect, Shri Jatua said.

 

The Minister distributed wheelchairs and other aids among some physically handicapped people at a function organised by the Raghunathpur Nabajagaran Society. Shri Dilip Jatua, Sabhapati Mandirbazar Panchayat Samity, Shri Mrityunjay Paik, Pradhan, Vishnupur Gram Panchayat among others were also present.
