Press Information Bureau Government of India ******   SHRI JATUA VISITS OFFICES OF I & B MINISTRY     Kolkata : October 7, 2009   The Union Minister of State for Information & Broadcasting Shri C. M. Jatua today visited in Kolkata the Regional offices of the Directorate of Field Publicity (DFP), Directorate of Advertising & Visual Publicity (DAVP), the Registrar of Newspapers for India (RNI) and the Films Division under the Ministry.  In the review meetings with the officers of the Directorates Shri Jatua suggested that if necessary, in order to make these offices more dynamic people may be recruited on contract basis.               It may be mentioned that after taking over as the Minister of State, Shri Jatua has already visited SRFTI  Kolkata, PIB Kolkata, AIR stations at Kolkata, Siliguri and Murshidabad and the Doordarshan Kendras at Kolkata and Jalpaiguri.  In meeting with the officers of these offices he has reviewed their functions also.     SP/spandey PIB Kolkata
