Gujarat Chief Minister had whole-heartedly welcomed United Kingdom's interest in building better ties with the state.

"Der Aaye Durasta Aaye!! I welcome UK Govt's step for active engagement & strengthening relations with Guj. God is Great," Modi wrote on his Twitter account.

Loosely translated "Der Aaye Durasta Aaye" in English stands for "Better late than never".

The Chief Minister had also asked the British high commissioner to India to visit the state and meet him.

Minister of state in UK Foreign Office, Hugo Swire, in a press release said that "it will allow us to discuss a wide range of issues of mutual interest and to explore opportunities for closer cooperation".

Observers say that UK's latest attempt to build closer ties with Gujarat is a kind of "diplomatic coup" for Modi.

Gujarat Chief Minister has been internationally isolated after the 2002 riots in the state.

Members of BJP in New Delhi had also welcomed UK's move.

However,  UK government release reminded Modi of the 2002 riots. It said that "we want to secure justice for the families of the British nationals who were killed in 2002. We want to support human rights and good governance in the state."

Human rights activists had been campaigning with the UK government to not allow Modi into the country for his alleged role in the killing of more than 1,000 Muslims in the riots of 2002. The US still doesn't grant Modi a visa on this count.

There were protests against Modi when he visited the UK in 2003 and a later visit was cancelled.

That Israel is a Jewish state, it says, should be welcomed and India should recognize that it is basically a Hindu nation requiring a representative Hindu state. It also has its political-electoral wing, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), as well as a host of other organizational offshoots. The RSS-BJP posit as their hostile and dangerous 'other' the Muslims, while for Israel it is the Palestinians, mostly Muslim but also Christian. Hindutva thus sees an emotional-ideological affinity between itself and Zionism.

Complementing this presumed cultural affinity between Hindutva and Zionism are the new post-Cold War era strategic compulsions and realignments. Whether the BJP or the Congress Party reigns at the centre— independently or in a coalition— both are committed to deepening the India-Israel-US alliance.

Israel is now the second largest supplier of military equipment to India (after Russia, which might well be permanently overtaken in due course by both Israel and the US) and India is now Israel's biggest arms purchaser. In New Delhi, Israel is seen as a key conduit for influencing the US government, which while seeking to consolidate its strategic partnership with India also— to the irritation of India— feels the need to sustain its strategic ties with Pakistan.

In the US much of the politically active Indian diaspora believes that it must emulate and work with the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) if it is to establish a powerful and organized lobby in the elite decision-making circles that count in Washington. High-level representatives of both the BJP and the Congress Party have thus made it a point to visit Tel Aviv and to meet AIPAC leaders in the US. In addition, India and Israel are now collaborating ever more closely on anti-terrorism.

"This will allow us to discuss a wide range of issues of mutual interest and to explore opportunities for closer cooperation, in line with the British Government's stated objective of improving bilateral relations with India," Britain's Foreign Office Minister Hugo Swire said in a statement.

Swire, who is in-charge of India, said, "The UK has a broad range of interests in Gujarat. We want to secure justice for the families of the British nationals who were killed in 2002. We want to support human rights and good governance in the state.

"We also want to provide the best possible support to British nationals who live in, work in or visit Gujarat; and to the many Gujaratis who now make up one of the most successful and dynamic communities in the UK."

As part of this government's commitment to strengthen relations with India, the UK has an interest "in ensuring that we provide a full and consistent range of services across the whole country. I feel that active engagement will help further these interests.

"We will consider in the light of the High Commissioner's visit how best to take forward our relationship with Gujarat," Swire said.

Reacting to the statement, Modi tweeted: "Getting many messages of pride & joy from Indian diaspora, especially Gujaratis in London & all over the world. Thanks for your affection!"

Swire's announcement on engagement with Gujarat marks a policy shift on the state and Modi, who has faced diplomatic isolation in the aftermath of the 2002 Gujarat riots.

Gujarat CM Narendra Modi will end his month-long Vivekanand Yuva Vikas Yatra (VYVY) at Pavagadh, Panchmahals on October 11, which is also the birth anniversary of Jayprakash Narayan.

The Yatra was started on September 11, exactly 119 years after Swami Vivekananda delivered his historic speech at World Parliament of Religions in Chicago. But this day in 2012 has been christened as Digvijay Divas by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

Modi had launched VYVY to enlighten Gujarat's youth about their progress and to inform them about development courtesy the state government.

The Yatra, which started from Becharaji, Mehsana will camp in Kheda on Thursday, before calling it a month at Pavagadh in the evening.

In the last month, Modi has addressed rallies on 16 days and delivered 32 speeches, and attended several other events in rural areas. The yatra aimed to cover 182 assembly constituencies.

Speaking at a rally in Banaskantha on Tuesday, Modi criticised Sonia Gandhi regarding rape of a dalit girl in Haryana. He said that Gandhi has no power over Congress-ruled states to advise them about safety of dalits.

"There is one rape in Haryana everyday, and this dalit girl who was gangraped immolated herself," said Modi. "Soniaji, you don't have guts to advise your Congress governments where dalit girls are being raped!" "And when you came to Rajkot, you dared to malign Gujarat. How can you advise Gujarat?"

When President George "Dubya" Bush declared his "war on global terrorism", American foreign policy became the best recruiting sergeant for Islam's men of violence. It is true that in the past year or two, as a consequence of Obama-authorized American violence (Israeli-like state terrorism in my view), al-Qaeda has suffered some serious setbacks; but the task of putting violent Islamic fundamentalism out of business will only become a mission possible when American foreign policy can command the respect of most Arabs and other Muslims everywhere.

For that to happen the American policy of support for the Zionist (not Jewish) state of Israel right or wrong has got to be ended.

Tripping over Iran

At the risk of provoking some of my readers to say again that my qualified optimism is misplaced and that it will never happen, I have to say that I am still entertaining the hope that a second-term President Obama will put America's own best interests first even to the extent of confronting the Zionist monster and its lobby in Congress and the mainstream media (Fox News in particular).

Today I allowed my optimism to be reinforced (a little) by a most interesting piece written by Philip Weiss for his website Mondoweiss. The headline over the piece is "Netanyahu's warmongering spells high noon for the Israel lobby". (Weiss is an influential Jewish-American journalist who describes himself as an "anti-Zionist" and his website has been described as "a nucleus of anti-Zionist writing". He said recently that he was particularly gratified to see a growing number of Jews moving in his direction. "I think there's going to be a big anti-Zionist moment in American Jewish life. I just think it's inevitable.")

The opening paragraph of his latest piece is this:

    It's high noon for the Israel lobby at last. The American establishment is balking at the idea of war with Iran, and calling out the neo-conservatives for pushing it; and Netanyahu's tantrum is allowing liberal American Jews to declare they're not on his side. There seems a likelihood that the "special relationship" with our closest ally will at last be politicized, or at least that war with Iran will come up in the presidential debates – and Romney forced to say he doesn't want it either, because Americans don't want it.

Weiss foresees "a breakup of the monolith" (the Zionist not Israeli lobby, I say) "with the Likud and anti-Likud voices in the US establishment battling it out openly - [Sheldon] Adelson's Republicans versus [George] Soros's Democrats".

He added:

    We can only hope that Netanyahu's government will fall over this battle. Because just as American Jews don't like dual loyalty suspicions – and if called on to choose, they'll side with the US – Israelis don't like to be alienated from Uncle Sam. Shamir fell after he took on Bush in '91. The lobby surely overreached with the Iran war push. As it overreached with the devouring of the West Bank.

Tail wagging the dog

Weiss then supports his own logic by quoting remarks made by Time magazine's Joe Klein on NBC's "This Morning" programme. He was responding to Knesset Deputy Speaker Danny Danon who said that it was absolutely time to attack Iran. While arguing that the Netanyahu government is trying to push the US into a war with Iran that would not serve US or Israeli interests, Klein said:

"The only force in the United States that favours war is AIPAC and its satellite organizations, neoconservative pundits and some Christian rightists… War with Iran could destroy Romney's presidency and he surely knows it".

    As for Israel, and the deputy Speaker of the Knesset and the prime minister, I don't think I've ever, in the 40 years I've been doing this – and I'm trying to search my mind through history – heard of another example of an American ally trying to push us into war as blatantly, and trying to influence an American election as blatantly as Bibi Netanyahu and the Likud party in Israel is doing right now. I think it's absolutely outrageous and disgusting. It's not a way that friends treat each other. And it is cynical and it is brazen.

Klein contested Danon's dismissal of the effectiveness of sanctions and argued that if Iran did make the decision to obtain a nuclear weapon, it would use it as a deterrent and not operationally "unless provoked".

Weiss then further supports his own logic by quoting remarks made by M.J. Rosenberg, a former American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) staffer and for 15 years a lobbyist on Capitol Hill for various Democrat members of the House  of Representatives and the Senate.

The layout of Weiss's piece does not make it clear to me whose words the following are – Rosenberg's or Weiss's own, but their message is important.

Fetus Killing

Women to men ratio were feared to reach 20:80 by the year 2020 as female fetus killing is rampant. Ten million girls have been killed by their parents in India in the past 20 years, either before they were born or immediately after, told Indian Minister for Women and Child Development Renuka Chowdhury to Reuters. According to the 2001 census, the national sex ratio was 933 girls to 1,000 boys, while in the worst-affected northern state of Punjab, it was 798 girls to 1,000 boys. The availability of ultrasound sex-determination tests leads to such mass killings in India.

Around 11 million abortions are carried out in India every year and nearly 80,000 women die during the process, says a report from Federation of Obstetrics and Gynecological Societies of India (FOGSI)

Senior BJP leader Sushma Swaraj on Thursday claimed the UPA government will not be able to survive beyond the winter session of Parliament as it has been reduced to a minority and the country is heading towards early polls.

"The Congress-led UPA Government will not be able to survive in the winter session of Parliament as it is already reduced to a minority (after withdrawal of TMC support) and has no right to take any major decisions," she said.

Swaraj was addressing `Yuva Sankalp' bike rally organised by BJYM, BJP's youth wing, as part of year-long celebrations of 150th birth anniversary of Swami Vivekanand.

Launching a scathing attack on the Manmohan Singh government, the Leader of the Opposition in Lok Sabha said it is involved in "triloki corruption" (corruption committed on earth, sky and inside the earth).

"CWG scam was committed on earth, spectrum (2G) in sky and coal inside the earth. Therefore, I describe this government as the one which has committed corruption in trilok (three worlds)."

The BJP leader alleged that in order to divert people's attention from all these scams, the government suddenly took the decision to permit FDI in multi-brand retail and put a cap on domestic LPG cylinders.

The UPA was hoping to get BJP's support on the issue of FDI but the main opposition party will not do so under any circumstances, she said. "We will not support the government on the issue of FDI in retail."

She claimed the country is heading towards mid-term polls and parties like Samajwadi Party, BSP and DMK, all UPA allies, will not support the government in Parliament on the issue of FDI. Therefore, it would not be able to survive on the floor of the House.

"This government has lost all its credibility after a rash of scams," Swaraj charged and gave the call "Congress Hatao, Desh Bachao" (remove Congress and save the country.)

She praised the BJP government in Madhya Pradesh for launching various welfare schemes in the state.

Human Trafficking

Out of the 593 districts in India, 378 or 62.5 % are affected by human trafficking. In 2006, United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) sponsored study conducted by Shakti Vahini, found that domestic violence, illiteracy, unemployment, poverty; unsafe migration and child marriage are the major reasons for the increasing rate of illegal human trafficking.

95 % of the women in Madhya Pradesh in commercial sex are due to family traditions. So are 51.79 % in Bihar,' said the study. While 43 % of the total women trafficked are minors, 44 percent of the women are into flesh trade due to poverty. Of the total women who are into sex work in the country, 60 % are from the lower and backward class, which indicates the pathetic living condition of the communities. In Madhya Pradesh, a political bastion of Hindu right wing party, 96.7 % of the women sex workers are from the scheduled castes and scheduled tribes.

India has 4 million prostitutes nationwide and 60% of the prostitutes are from the Scheduled Castes and Tribes or other backward caste. UNAIDS says over 38% of those living with HIV in India are women.

High Crime Rate and Communal Riots

India reported 32,481 murders, 19,348 rapes, 7,618 dowry deaths and 36,617 molestation cases in 2006. As far as states are concerned, NCRB has found that Madhya Pradesh recorded the highest number of crimes (1,94,711) followed by Maharashtra (1,91,788), Andhra Pradesh (1,73,909), Tamil Nadu (1,48,972) and Rajasthan (1,41,992) during 2006. On average there are more than 2000 cases of kidnappings per year in India. Under India's notorious caste system, upper caste Hindus inherited key positions and controls all the governmental branches. Violence against victims largely goes unpunished due to the support of upper caste crooks.

Economic Crimes

Economic Crime continues to be pervasive threat for Indian Companies, with 35 % of the organizations reporting having experienced fraud in the past two years according to PwC Global Economic Crime Survey 2007. Many incidents of fraud are going unreported. According to PricewaterhouseCoopers' India findings:

* Corruption and Bribery continues to be the most common type of fraud reported by 20 % of the respondents;
* The average direct financial loss to companies was INR 60 Million (US $ 1.5 million) during the two year period. In addition the average cost to manage economic crime in India was INR 40 Million (US $ 1 Million) which is close to double that of the global and Asia Pacific average;
* In 36% of cases companies took no action against the perpetrators of fraud;
* In 50% of the cases frauds were detected by chance. [PWC Report 2007]

Armed Conflicts in India

Almost every state has separatist movements, many of them armed. A large number of Muslims were killed in the past few years across the country and the numbers are on a steady rise. On top of that India has become a paraya for its neighbours. None of its neighbours appreciate their closeness to India and they all blame it for meddling in their affairs.

63 per cent of India's new budget will go to the military, police, administration and debt service (2008-09). The military might of centric Hindu elites in Delhi isolated people of Jammu & Kashmir and the northeastern states. It is difficult for any community to feel part of a larger country when the armed forces of the country are deployed to silence them.

According to an Indian official report , 165 of India's 602 districts — mostly in states like Chhattisgarh, Andhra Pradesh, Jharkhand, Bihar, Orissa, West Bengal, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh — are "badly affected" by tribal and dalit violence, which government termed as "Maoist terror". India's military spending was recorded at US $21.7 billion in 2006 and it planned to spend $26.5 billion during 2008/09 financial year. 85 percent of the Army's budget is spent on the enormous manpower of 1,316,000, which is the fourth largest in the world.

India experienced a rapid increase in demand for security in the period following the Mumbai attacks. Thanks to terrorism imports by world's weapon industry! India is now one of the world's most terror-prone countries, with a death toll second only to Iraq, says a report from the National Counter terrorism Center in Washington. India's crime rates, already some of the highest in the world, are also rising, as is the incidence of corporate espionage. Approximately 5.5 million private security guards employed by about 15,000 security companies in India. As an industry,it is now the country's largest corporate taxpayer. (CAPSI report)

Almost six years after the deaths of over 3,000 Muslims in a genocidal operation by Hindu fundamentalists in the state of Gujrat that began on 28 February, 2002, new information has emerged about the incident that began it. At the end of October two major Indian television channels, seen around the world by cable and satellite, broadcast the findings of a six-month investigation by Tehelka, a weekly newsmagazine: journalists secretly recorded senior members of Hindu organisations speaking about their roles in the attacks, as well as the role of the state government of the time, led by chief minister Narendra Modi. This is just the latest damning revelation about the true nature of Hindu nationalism in India, confirming the findings of an earlier investigation by Human Rights Watch, that concluded that the riots had been planned before the burning of a train at Godhra railway station that supposedly provoked it.

Fifty-eight Hindu karsevaks (volunteers) were killed, and many injured, when coach no.6 of a train, the Sabarmati Express, caught fire at Godhra railway station while returning from Ayodhya. The circumstances of the fire are disputed. According to official sources, it was torched by Muslims after a dispute between Hindus on the train and Muslim vendors at the stations. Some reports state that the Hindus had refused to pay for anything until the vendors chanted "Jai Shri Ram" ("praise lord Ram"). Other reports say that the Muslims were trying to recover a vendor's teenage daughter, who had been pulled into the carriage by the karsevaks. Investigations into the blaze have concluded that it was begun inside the carriage, and that the story of the carriage having been set alight from outside is untrue.

Immediately the Hindus, who immediately started attacking almost all the Muslim-populated districts in Gujrat. Narendra Modi notoriously refused to condemn the pogroms, saying only that for every action there would be an equal and opposite reaction, and saying that the root-cause of the riot was the Godhra-train carnage which, according to him, was the work of Muslim extremists. The Human Rights Watch report has confirmed local accounts that the local police did nothing to help the Muslims, instead standing by, watching, and saying only that they had not been ordered to do anything.

Now more light has been shed on the train carnage, confirming that it was deliberately designed and executed by agents provocateurs who had been hired by Hindu extremist organisations such as the Vishawa Hindu Parishad (VHP: the World Hindu Council) and its youth wing, the Bajrang Dal (devotees of the monkey god Hanuman). The Tehelka investigation included operations in which journalists secretly recorded conversations with a number of Sanior Parivar leaders, including the BJP MLA Haresh Bhatt and Shiv Sena leader Babu Bajrangi. It transpires that Narendra Modi and his senior police officials had an active role in the Gujrat riots of 2002. The horrifying truth about the Gujrat pogrom was brought to light by journalists, led by one Aashick Kehtan, an expert in filming and recording with the help of hidden cameras, who caught the culprits describing in their own voices and words the atrocities initiated or committed by them. Millions of viewers across the globe watched the Tehelka expose, which was telecast on October 25 by Aaj Tak and Headlines channel.

Haren Pandya, then a cabinet minister in the Modi government, revealed that Modi had convened an urgent meeting at his residence on February 27, 2002 (the eve of the statewide riots) in which cabinet colleagues, senior police officials and high-level bureaucrats took part in making plans to implement the genocide of Muslims. Modi asked them to "allow people to vent their anger and not come in the way of a Hindu backlash". Haren Pandya testified later that the seniormost police officials were told by Modi that they should expect a Hindu reaction and that they should do nothing to contain this reaction. The cabinet minister, Haren Pandya was murdered on March 26, 2003, apparently by hooligans of Modi's for his speaking about the secret meeting to the press and the Concerned Citizens Tribunal in May 2002.

An innocent Muslim, one Asghar Ali, was arrested under POTA (Prevention of Terrorism Act) in connection with the murder and sentenced to life imprisonment. There are a number of Muslim youths being held in prisons in Gujrat under POTA because they were allegedly involved in the riots, whereas little or no action has been taken against Hindu rioters who boasted on television that they dismembered a human being, slit open the stomach of a pregnant woman, and roasted alive a number of people in fires. Hindus also wantonly destroyed Muslims' properties, and killed women and children mercilessly, all with the tacit connivance and complicity of the Modi government in Gujrat. Modi systematically subverted the rule of law in Gujrat; now another assembly election in Gujrat is due and Muslims are apprehensive because society has been so heavily communalised that justice has degenerates to the point that it is effectively unavailable to Muslims.

In the past, Hindu extremist organisations have provoked and ignited communal clashes in Muslim-populated localities. Their inflammatory speeches in public meetings have often admitted this fact. A well-documented 70-page report by Human Rights Watch has stated that riots were planned before the Godhra-train disaster. The Ahmadabad Forensic Laboratory has also proved that the train's carriages were set on fire from inside, although the government's story is that the fire was set from outside by Muslim arsonists. A few days ahead before the Godhra incident, businesses, buildings, mosques, shops and educational institutions belonging to Muslims had been marked to identify them easily for attack by Hindu thugs and bullies.

Hindu fascist organisations such as the Rashtriyia Swayam Sevak Sangh (RSS, the Association of National Volunteers), the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and Bajrang Dal are playing an active role in bringing the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) into power in order to establish a Hindu Rashtra ('Hindu nation') in India by abolishing the present secular democratic political system. Hindu extremist elements perceive Muslims as an obstacle to the achievement of their cherished ambition. They have been drawing inspiration from Hagana, a zionist terrorist organisation, and Mossad, Israel's secret service and spy network, which are committed to a "Greater Israel" in fulfiment of an alleged Biblical promise that the Jews could rule from the Nile to the Euphrates.

The Israel connection of the Modi government was a closely guarded secret that came out when Narendra Modi visited Israel before being appointed chief minister. Hundreds of Hindu youths from Gujrat had been sent to Israel for militant training, ostensibly to learn modern techniques of agriculture and irrigation. Under Mossad and Hagana these youths were imparted special training in handling explosives and dangerous chemicals that could be used to demolish Muslims' buildings and houses. Some packets of dangerous chemicals used by Hindu gangsters to attack Muslims in Gujrat were recognisably made in Israel. They learned the same tactics of operation and execution in attacking Muslims which zionists apply in the Jewish-occupied territories in Palestine.

Zionism and Hindutva have a common agenda against Islam and Muslims. When Congress, India's main political party, ruled the country, New Delhi was very cautious about diplomatic relations with Israel. It was during the BJP's rule in 1990s that Indo-Israel relations were strengthened; BJP's anti-Muslim proclivities made them very interested in having Israel as an ally. When the foreign minister of Israel visited India in 1993, he was accorded a warm welcome by the BJP's leaders and provided Israeli expertise for use in countering the insurgence in Kashmir. Shimon Peres, Israel's foreign minister when he visited New Delhi, put a plan to the BJP leader, L. K. Advani, about containing the insurgence in Kashmir, suggesting a demographic change; he clearly meant increasing the population of Hindus and reducing the Muslim population, which would be brought about by evacuation of the latter from the Kashmir valley by force or by frightening them away by means of terrorist acts. Furthermore, he openly questioned the patriotism of Muslims living in India. Ever since Peres' visit, Mossad agents have been frequenting Kashmir as tourists on the basis of a clandestine understanding between the governments of India and Israel. There are striking similarities between the intifada in Palestine and the insurgence in Kashmir, and in governmental responses to them.

It is becoming increasingly obvious that Hindu radical extremists are hellbent on targeting Muslims in India. Muslims in North India are suffering badly at the hands of Hindu zealots, who treat them as second-class citizens. Marginalising Muslims and other minorities is visible in almost all urban areas, where they live in terrible conditions because of lack of amenities like drinking water, sanitation, health-clinics and schools. A committee appointed by the Supreme Court has found that 4,545 Muslims families (comprising around 30,000 persons affected by the post-Godhra riots) are still living in deplorable conditions in 81 relief-colonies in Gujrat.

And yet there is no sign that the Indian government, any Muslim government, or any international Islamic organisation, is doing anything serious or effective to alleviate their plight or address the reasons for it.

But now, the ruling elite's in India and Israel are able to find common ground since most of those elite seem to be racists and bigots.

From India's caste system, with its degrees of ritual purity and of social status, from the Brahmans to the Untouchables to the Apartheid Jews only State of Israel, with their Rabbis who help formulate law to their version of the untouchables, the indigenous Palestinians, these two countries seem like a good fit for one another.

To help maintain their grip on power, they need "terrorists" incidents and other brazen acts to keep the people in a state of fear, crying out to the same ones who were behind those acts for help.

Israeli agents seemed particularly interested in getting their tentacles into India and Kashmir the year prior to 9/11. To help set up the MOSSAD/CIA false-flag of 9/11?

Politically, the BJP has embraced Israel and turned a cold shoulder to the Palestinians, betraying the bonds of friendship shared by the Palestinian and Indian people in this process. Hindutva ideologues are talking about Hindu-Yahudi unity and the need to fight against 'terrorism,' a euphemism for Palestine's and India's Muslims.

Hindu extremist websites gloat about the need to work together with Israel to target Muslims in South Asia. Recently a virulent organization calling itself "hinduunity.org" had its website shut down. It came back without a problem when the virulent Jewish extremist Kahane organization (Haktiva) came to the rescue.

Rabid extremists working together for a common cause: Muslims are the targets, but also most importantly, the entire peoples of the Arab and Iranian nations, and the great masses of people in South Asia are targets for these two running stooges of Zionist imperialism. Hindutvadis are happy to see such cooperation, while Israel murders Palestinians with impunity, and India reels under the Hindutva onslaught.

Israel has also been suspected of involvement in the incitement of virulent anti-Muslim activities in India, as has been pointed out by Faisal Kutty, a writer from Kerala state who noted that a meeting took place, shrouded in secrecy between BJP high officials and Israeli officials preceding a completely uncharacteristic violent communal anti-Muslim riot in the normally peaceful and harmonious state of Kerala in 1992.

Kerala's Muslims are the oldest Muslim community in India, tracing their roots to the early Arab Muslim traders who plied the Indian Ocean Arabian Sea trade route. They make up 20 percent of the population in Kerala while Hindus are 60 percent and Christians 20 percent. Kerala has the highest rate of literacy in the country, in no small part due to the work of the ruling Communist Party over the last several decades to build a literate and thriving, secular state. Comparatively, the other South Indian states under the heel of chauvinistic ethnocentric parties have no comparable achievements. Faisal Kutty also notes that the first serious communal clash between Sri Lankan Tamil Hindus and Muslims occurred shortly after the opening of an Israeli interests section in the U.S. Embassy in Colombo. The section was later closed by the Sri Lankan government.

These suspicions cannot be unfounded because of similar reports about Israeli agents wandering in Kashmir as well as the BJP government's fascination with 'security cooperation,' a code word for 'how to keep the natives in line,' and the overt statements made by Hindutva ideologues about "Hindu-Yahudi" unity.

Recently the BJP has built close security ties with the U.S. and Israel under the guise of "fighting terrorism." It is certain that this is a step towards turning India into a "security" state as both the U.S. and Israel will provide technological support in terms of arms, intelligence and who knows what else. This will most definitely be used in the BJP's attack on India's people, especially Muslims, Christians, Dalits, and anyone opposed to Hindutva, those they call with contempt, "pseudo-secularists."

The people of Kashmir will no doubt also be targeted by these new alliances, as well as Andhra, Punjab, Assam and the North East where militant struggles for human rights and freedom have continued for most of the half century following the British exit. Organizations like the Bajrang Dal, a Hindutva version of the Storm Troopers, the same group who last year burned to death an elderly Australian missionary and his children, also find inspiration and who knows what else in Zionist Israel.

The Indian Express, June 30, 2000 had an article titled  <http://www.expressindia.com/news/ie/daily/20000630/ifr30005.html> "Desi Mossad is getting ready at Bajrang Dal's Ayodhya camp." It begins: "I, as a member of Bajrang Dal, swear in the name of Lord Hanuman to always remain prepared to protect my country, religion and culture," 150 young men, between 15 and 21 years of age, recite in unison. On several occasions, the cadres and their leaders mention Israel and the Mossad as their inspiration. 'Asked what he did at the camp, an activist whispers, "I am from the secret service of Bajrang Dal. Israel's Mossad is my inspiration. I can't tell you more."

'Dal leaders in their defence, cite example of Israel where all citizens have to undergo a mandatory training in physical fitness and arms handling. But, isn't Israel's geographical situation peculiar? "`India's even worse. Israel has threat only from outsiders while India faces threat from even those inhabiting it," Sharma replies. These are words from people who frequently terrorize India's Muslims and Christians. They are the paramilitary mobs of Hindutva, not boy scouts or martial artists.

In recent years Israeli "counter-terrorism" assistance is also being mobilized, most evidently in (though not restricted to) Jammu and Kashmir, where the government of India sees a political issue as a 'security' issue, in the age-old imperialistic tradition of ignoring the human, civil and political rights of the Kashmiri people while making every effort to suppress the voice of Kashmiris.10

The Times of India, Friday 22 September 2000 reports that <http://www.jammu-kashmir.com/archives/archives2000/kashmir20000922a.html>  'A high-level team of Israeli counter-terrorism experts is now touring Jammu and Kashmir and several other states in India at the invitation of Home Minister Lal Krishna Advani to make an assessment of New Delhi's security needs, high-level government sources said.'

'The Israeli team, headed by Eli Katzir of the Counter-Terrorism Combat Unit of the Prime Minister's Office, includes a senior Israel Police commander and Israeli military intelligence officials. The team will prepare a "feasibility study" of Indian security needs and assess the areas in which Israel can offer assistance to New Delhi in tackling the activities of insurgent and terrorist groups.'

BJP's corruption: money for nothing, and a few lousy Barak missiles, Hindutva Zionism in action.

In the short span of time that the BJP has been in power in Delhi, its claims of being patriotic and honest have been thrown in the dustbin. Earlier this year, a team of investigative journalists videotaped a series of bribe taking and bribe negotiating episodes involving people in the highest levels of government including the armed forces. Using a fictitious arms deal the team easily bribed its way into the offices of high-ranking Indian officials in the armed forces and the government. The ease with which it was possible to bribe these officials shocked the country. Imagine what levels of corruption might be possible when very efficient efforts at the same are carried out by international professional arms dealers, mercenaries and other organizations?

The most damaging episode in this was a videotaped recording of the leader of the BJP, yes, the party leader, taking a wad of money and also mentioning that he prefers dollars! Overnight, the BJP's never ending charade of patriotism and honesty turned into outright guilt and defensive noises about 'foreign conspiracy!' As if the taking of bribes by the highest officials of the land especially for defense related deals, itself does not constitute treason and conspiracy of the highest order! These so-called 'patriots' of the BJP are willing to send Indian soldiers as cannon fodder to their stupid warmongering disasters, with equipment that is sub standard, and available only because the officials procuring them were bribed into doing so. Thus the so-called Barak missile found its way from Israel to India, while India's own Trishul missile, which outperforms the Barak, got pushed out, perhaps because the Indian defense industries couldn't match the Mossadis in bribery and intrigue!?

By 1987, Jewish evil became so extreme that India's Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi convinced Sri Lankan President Junius Jayawardene to sign the Indo-Sri Lankan peace accord, which gave autonomy to the Tamil areas in the north and east of the island. In 1989 Ranasinghe Premadasa became President of Sri Lanka. Because he was a dictator, a separate resistance movement rose up against him among the Singhalese in the south. This was the JVP (People's Liberation Front). They were not Tamils; they were Singhalese Buddhists. Therefore Premadasa allowed Mossad to arm the enemy (the Tamils) in hopes that the Tamils would wipe out the JVP Buddhists, and also cause the Indian troops to leave Sri Lanka. Meanwhile the Jews committed a series of false flag murders, causing all sides to escalate into worse and worse atrocities.

India's Prime Minister Rajiv Ghandi responded by sending 97,000 additional troops.

By the following year (1990) Jewish false flags massacres had reduced Sri Lanka to a quagmire for India. Under political pressure at home, Rajiv Gandhi withdrew the army, but used the Indian navy to completely shut down the Jewish arms trade in Sri Lanka. In November 1991, the Indian Navy seized an Israeli ship carrying large amounts of arms and ammunition from Singapore to the Tamils.

That was it. The Jews could tolerate no more interference from Gandhi.

For shutting down the Israeli arms trade, Gandhi was assassinated on 21 May 1991, along with 15 others in a blast. (On 8 Aug 1984, Ghandi's mother, Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, condemned Sri Lankan President J.R.Jayewardene for bringing Mossad into Sri Lanka. Two months later, Sikh separatists gunned down Indira Gandhi, probably using intelligence furnished by Mossad.)

Five weeks before Rajiv Gandhi was assassinated, Yasser Arafat in Palestine warned him that a hit was planned. The bomb that killed Rajiv Gandhi was composed of RDX explosives thought to have been manufactured in Israel. The conspirators' trial was held in total secrecy, and court records have never been released. No one knows what happened to the "suicide bomber," or who was behind the assassination.

Subramanian Swamy was a newspaper columnist on the Israeli payroll. After the assassination, he wrote numerous editorials saying the LTTE did it, which was a deception, since the LTTE (Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam) are the regular Tamil Tigers. The Tamils trained in Israel were part of a splinter group known as the TELO, as noted above. The TELO was connected with the secret inner circle at RAW that was on the Mossad payroll. (RAW = "Rearch Analysis Wing," or Indian intelligence.)

I suspect there was no suicide bomber, and that Mossad set off a bomb, or equipped the TELO, or perhaps the inner RAW circle to set off a bomb for Israel. Certainly Mossad was involved.

The Mumbai attacks were actually an anti-Pakistan false-flag psy-ops operation from the Nariman House Mossad hub.

It is the Zionist leadership that played a vital role in building the financial and military strength of India…..India netted 55 billion dollars in American aid from 1950 to 1990. The Zionist leadership was the main pushing force for this huge financial dole. Again it was the Zionist leadership that helped India get IMF's dole for decades. The Zionist leadership was there to get $28 billion worth of foreign investments in India in FY 92-93. And this trend of pumping billions of dollars continues even today. This financial dole helps India to grease its military machine of death and destruction against Pakistan.

It is pertinent to note that no nation can get a favorable deal from the US or international institutions unless it is endorsed by the American Zionist leadership. The Zionist leadership also helped India to grow its nuclear teeth.

And today, India is the largest defense client of Israel.

India bought one third of Israel's weapons exports in 2007, and in 2008, and inked an agreement with Israel to train its commandos.

Unless more sane voices prevail, certain faith groups will continue to use religion as a tool of political expediency

Perhaps one of the most troubling legacies of the twentieth century is that of fractious identities. The turbulent socio-political exigencies of a post-colonial world demanded a re-evaluation and often re-configurations of ideas of nationhood. India is still in the process of imagining a unified nation-state in a country with a diverse and layered history. Israel is still trying to develop a coherent idea of what underlies its history and future trajectory as a nation-state.

Both countries face mounting pressure from similar movements, which if left unchecked, can only exacerbate sectarian tensions and prevent any semblance of peace in their respective regions. The argument for re-asserting the rights of a 'lost civilisation' is shared both by extreme Zionists as well as advocates of Hindutva. Mark Sofer the Israeli Ambasssador in India, in a recent interview, talked of the 'awe and admiration in Israel for Indian history, culture and mentality.' The fact is that there is no one Indian civilisation, culture or mentality. The only people who like to make such claims are those groups that are adamant on propagating their version of a 'Hindu' India. Perhaps it is with these groups that some people in Israel have found resonance. The Holy Land is seen by some Zionists as exclusively belonging to the Jews. Similarly the ideological progenitors of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), a group that provides ideological direction to the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP), the right-wing Hindu nationalist main opposition party, wrote about Christians and Muslims that "they are born in this land, no doubt. But are they true to its salt?...No."

Perhaps the most crucial similarity between the two movements is the effort to sacralise the nation-state and therefore give it divine sanction. Proponents of Hindutva conceive of India as Bharat Mata, Mother India and therefore deify the nation. Zionism argues that the Torah demands that it is incumbent upon Jews to create a sovereign commonwealth in which the Halakha, or 'sacred law' is implemented. Implicit in this sacralisation of the nation-state is the tendency to conflate political opposition with anti-nationalism and therefore 'anti-Hinduism' or 'anti-Semitism.'

This is well illustrated by two examples. In India, the house of the author Arundhati Roy was attacked by BJP women activists demanding that she be tried for sedition for her statements about Kashmir. Roy had stated at a conference that Kashmiris have the right to decide whether they should be independent. Branding this statement as anti-national, the BJP in effect has also accused her of 'blasphemy' for she had questioned the very integrity of Bharat Mata. Interestingly when the chief of the RSS blamed the Indian Constitution as the root-cause of India's ills, no charges of sedition were leveled against him. The recent controversy over whether citizens should swear allegiance to Israel as a Jewish State is symptomatic of a similar problem wherein, by conflating the identity of the country with being Jewish, any political opposition effectively becomes twisted into a form of religious opposition. Anti-Zionism becomes anti-Semitism. Thus, the burden of upholding secularism does not fall upon religious majorities but is borne by religious minorities, in this instance, the Muslims.

The proponents of these ideologies make for strange bed-fellows. One of the first proponents of Hindutva, Veer Savarkar, wrote that 'the Jews are a brave and intelligent people… although their State looks like a child before our great state of Bharat we must emulate its example.' Today, members of the RSS, the current flag-bearers of Hindutva, like ex-Deputy Prime Minister Advani, are openly courted by organisations like the American Jewish Committee. It is ironic that one of the founders of the RSS, Golwalkar, openly supported the abhorrent treatment of Jews by the Nazis in order to create a pure Aryan state. Even the structure of the RSS was modeled on the Italian Fascist Organisation and the founders had a particularly warped admiration for the SS. Despite this, the ties between supporters of Hindutva and radical Zionists are surprisingly close.

In a joint conference hosted by the US Indian Political Action Committee, the American Jewish Committee and The American Israeli Public Affairs Committee, Indian and Israeli officials and US politicians discussed the 'symbiotic' and 'unique' status of Indo-Jewish relations and the similarity of the problems they faced. Congressman Gary Ackerman (D-New York) articulated the fears of the proponents of Hindutva and radical Zionism succinctly. He stated that the real problem was that Israel was "surrounded by 120 million Muslims" while "India has 120 million." The newfound comfort between the proponents of these divisive ideologies seems to be more to do with politics than religion.

There are major divides within Judaism and within Hinduism. The RSS and BJP are not representative of all the Hindus. Similarly, right-wing Zionists cannot be representative of all the Jews. However, until more sane voices prevail, groups like these will continue to use religion as a tool of political expediency. (varsity.co.uk)
