Press Statement
The Polit Bureau expresses its deep shock and condemnation of the dastardly killing of Narendra Dabholkar in Pune. Dr. Dabholkar had led the anti-superstition movement and worked tirelessly to stop obscurantist practices. He was the Editor of Sadhana weekly.
His progressive social activities had evoked opposition from the rightwing communal forces. The Polit Bureau demands a speedy and effective investigation of this murder, so that the culprits are brought to justice.
