BJP bought “Gorkchov Aircraft Carrier” that was confined to Russian junk yards for years with Indian communists connivance that shall cost three times of a new Aircraft Carrier but India shall get junk grade technology.
Chinese communists are smarter they will get Nuclear Reactor Technology almost free and install reactors cheaper than current generation of Clean Technology Thermal Plants.
Baring defense hardware India has always got latest technology from USA .
100% of civil work, most of generators, pump etc may be made in India . Reactor shell and few critical parts that require special machinery may be made in China or Japan .
But in case Russia or China or any other country offers reactors with project finance India may allow foreign reactors. Most of civil work and electrical would be executed in India .
It must be remembered that Reactors shall be subject to rigorous inspections that excludes possibility of “Antiques”

The US has Chinese antique goods that it will try to sell you with profit for them. Better to deal with the OEM if possible.
