Do you think Bush will have enough guts to pardon
Treasury Sec Henry Paulson before he can be indicted
for giving the first round of bailout money directly
to banking executives rather than the plan approved by
Congress?

My bet is that Paulson will not go down quietly and he
will take Bush down with him.

It is VERY clear that Bush and Paulson had a plan to
fool congress (both conservatives and liberals) into
thinking the money would go to bad mortage payoffs and
then give it to banking friends after the money was
approved.

This how the Iran-Contra investigation began - Reagan
going against the wishes of Congress.
