SEMINAR ON GREEN BUILDING AWARNESS

 

Kolkata: Thursday, August 20, 2009.

 

 

       A one day seminar on Green Building Concepts and GRIHA (Green Rating for Integrated Habitat Assessment) was organized by Central Public Works Department (CPWD) in Kolkata today.

      During the seminar, Union Minister of State for Rural Development, Prof. Saugata Roy said that CPWD is constructing solar efficiency buildings in all over India. Now time is come to shift our construction project from conventional to green building concepts, he said.

         The seminar was also addressed by Shri A K Singhal, Director General, CPWD, Shri R S Prasad, Additional Director General and Shri C S Prasad, Additional Director General of Eastern Region. All engineers and higher level officers belong to CPWD; eastern region participated in this seminar.
