EMPOWERING INDIA WEBSITE LAUNCHES
Kolkata: Wednesday, September 09, 2009.
A new website www.empoweringindia.org was inaugurated by the Chief Electoral Officer of West Bengal Shri Debasis Sen in presence of former Lok Sabha Speaker Shri Somnath Chatterjee in Kolkata today.
This website has been developed by the Press Institute of India and the Liberty Institute in partnership with Friedrich-Naumann-Stiftung fur die Freiheit to educate ordinary citizen about their democratic rights and how to use it properly. On this website, details of present and past elections, candidates, performances of elected candidates during their terms and general information about constituencies have been provided.
