Hamid Ansari has greeted the people of our country on the auspicious and joyous occasion of Deepawali – the festival of lights. In his message, he said that celebrated throughout the country in a mood of festivity and gaiety, Deepawali symbolises the triumph of good over evil, of light over darkness, of truth over untruth. In celebrating this effervescent festival, we emphasise the importance of these timeless values in our lives.   Following is the text of Vice President's message:   "I extend my warm greetings and good wishes to the people of our country on the auspicious and joyous occasion of Deepawali - the festival of lights.   Celebrated throughout the country in a mood of festivity and gaiety, Deepawali symbolises the triumph of good over evil, of light over darkness, of truth over untruth.
