PUBLIC MEETING:
WHERE NOW FOR THE MIDDLE EAST?
WHAT NEXT FOR THE EGYPTIAN REVOLUTION?

Oman has become the latest Middle East country to join the uprisings sweeping
the region, with two protesters killed last week, which also saw demonstrators
returning to the streets in huge numbers in Egypt, Tunisia, Bahrain and Yemen,
while Libya is aflame in the death throes of the Gaddafi tyranny. (SEE How will
America handle the fall of its Middle East empire? http://bit.ly/g9ce5n )

In Iraq too, tens of thousands across the country protested in what the
Washington Post called a series of "mini-revolutions", with crowds storming
provincial buildings, forcing local officials to resign, freeing prisoners and
demanding reforms from the US backed Maliki government.

This is one manifestation of people power that Obama did not want to see and he
hasn't uttered a word of condemnation against the US placeman Maliki, whose
security forces reacted to the street demonstrations by killing at least 29
protesters. (SEE The people power Obama doesn't want to see: it's in Iraq:
