Sumit Guha
He was born in Kolkata in India. Sumit received his Bachelor Degree in Visual Art from Rabindra Bharati University, Kolkata India. He is currently working with a National Media and past UNICEF, Kolkata.
Sumit's works had been displayed on more than 50 exhibitions in 6 countries, including USA, Sweden, Australia, Bangladesh etc. Recent shows in Birla Academy of Art and Culture (India) with Contemporary Group of Modern Art (India).
He uses strong and expressive colors as well as a distinctive relief and the texture with the Digital paint. He transforms the canvas into a space in which he expresses his ideas about the society but also the artistic field between dreams and hope, the art of Sumit is a reflection of himself and a reaction to world around him. His belief that there is no end to learning and exploring till the end of time, Creation and interpretation is the life of the artist. In painting he is using all mediums, according to his artistic point of view and from the perspective of his philosophical enquiry and personal experiences which can be expressed through artistic material on canvas.
