This is another glaring example of :-
Rakesh Maria's (Joint Commissioner of Police) involvement in trying to play his role in trying to 'bailout' the terror operatives of Abhinav Bharat. His recent statements that 'members of the Chota Shakeel gang have threatened to kill the two lawyers that are representing the Malegaon blast accussed Sadhvi Pragnya Thakur' have been challenged by the High Court as well (report below).
In this context we would like to bring in the following issues:
1) As most would recall, we had clearly articulated the fact that post the Mumbai terror attacks of 26/11, the investigation into the Abhinav Bharat terror network would be sabotaged as is clearly the case. The matter is not being pursued with the same determination (& that is an understatement) nor are any new revelations coming to the fore. Recall the times of Hemant Karakare, when in a short period he had unearthed a nationwide terror network with international linkages & after his demise, the entire process has stalled & is in fact sought to be undermined.
2) We have continuously stated the fact that Rakesh Maria is amongst the prime movers & facilitators of the 26/11 attacks. His role in the Control Room was decisive & finally lead to the deaths of Shri Hemant Karkare.
3) Thus ending all hopes of getting to the bottom of the terror network with deep roots in the RSS-BJP-VHP-Bajrang Dal, sections of the Military establishment, the IB as well as the RAW along with political patronage from other quarters as well as with International linkages, especially with the Mossad.
4) The other factor is the the curious case of the 'Chota Shakeel Gang'. Interestingly the gang seems to be very politically aware & has been braying for Varun's blood (after his horrendous hate speeches against Muslims) as now even the Sadhvi's & other members of the Abhinav Bharat terror organization. The fact was that as the political fortunes of Varun began to plummet, the threats from the Chota Shakeel gang were issued so as to rescue the crazed fanatic, but to no avail. Planted Media reports of regular threats the 'Chota Shakeel Gang' gave the game away. The simple fact of the matter is that the 'Chota Shakeel Gang' has been working for the RAW, as has been the case with the 'Chota Rajan Gang'. Thus the gangs are strategically used, either to issue statements threatening various political leaders from time to time, or to finally engineer terror attacks on behalf of the powers who pull their strings.
5)This is similar to the way that the 'Dawood Ibrahim Company' works for the CIA & the ISI in managing their narco-terrorist operations across Afghanistan-Pakistan-Central Asian & the Russian & European markets.
We thus demand that:
a) Rakesh Maria be made to resign.
b) An inquiry conducted into his role whilst managing the Control Room during the crucial period leading upto the murder of Shri Hemant Karakare & his courageous friends. This will include a record of all the telephone calls made to & from the control room, a record of the transcripts of the conversations & the instructions thus issued.
c) An inquiry into Rakesh Maria's possible connections to the Abhinav Bharat terror organization.
All in all, Rakesh Maria stands exposed & we stand vindicated once again.

The Bombay high court on Monday gave the Mumbai cops two days to undo the damage they caused by informing the media of the arrest of
alleged Chhota Shakeel gang members for plotting to kill two lawyers representing Malegaon blast accused Sadhvi Pragya Thakur but failed to mention it in the remand copy against them.
A division bench of Justice Bilal Nazki and Justice A R Joshi came down heavily on the police and asked them if such misleading leaks in the media was a new strategy to pressure and "browbeat the court''.
The court was hearing a petition filed by one of the accused, Kamil, who sought a clarification from the police. The petition pointed out that in documents submitted to court seeking police custody, the agency had mentioned that they had been booked for attempting to commit dacoity. In an affidavit, joint commissioner of police Rakesh Maria had earlier told the court that the press had prior information about the alleged murder plot. The court refused to accept this explanation, charging the police with trampling upon the rights of the accused.
