SHRI JATUA MEETS THE FAMILY MEMBERS OF THE DEAD IN KAKDWIP ROAD ACCIDENT

The Union Minister of State for Information & Broadcasting Shri C.M. Jatua has expressed grief at the death of 9 persons in a road accident at Natunhat More at Kakdwip in South 24-Parganas district (West Bengal) today. Immediately after receiving the news of the accident Shri Jatua rushed to the site. He along with the State Sunderban Develop Minister Shri Kanti Ganguly supervised the shifting of 8 injured persons to hospitals in Kolkata for treatment. Shri Jatua later told media persons that a sum of Rs.25 thousand would be given as ex-gratia to each of the bereaved families on behalf of the Zilla Parishad. Arrangement also would be made for treatment of the injured, he said. Shri Jatua accompanied by the Zilla Parishad Sabhadhipati Ms. Shamima Seikh also visited the houses of the bereaved families at Patherpratima and extended condolence to them.
