CALTEL LAUNCHES PRE-PUJA AND PUJA SCHEMES

Chief General Manager of Calcutta Telephones Dr. S. K. Chakravarty announced several Pre-Puja and Puja schemes like ‘DOSTI’, prepaid Manikjod Scheme, Rent free tracking enabled mobile connection and Free Netone services to BSNL subscribers in Kolkata today.
He also announced that his department is going for investment of R.499 crore for technological up-gradation OF Calcutta Telephones network during 2008-2009 and an investment of Rs.170 crore for mobile expansion programmes. He is hopeful that nearly 4 lacs mobile subscribers and 300 additional BTs will be added with Rs.110 crore investments in 2G segment by December 2008. He also said that 3G with 575 BTS will be operational in Calcutta Telephones very soon.
The Prepaid Manikjod –‘DOSTI’ Scheme will be launched from 10th of this month. It is very useful for the students, friends and relatives in which two SIMs will be issued at a cost of Rs.299/. The customer may recharge with a top-up of any denominations of Rs.100/- or above at least once in a month to get additional talk time of Rs.70/- free of cost, he informed.
