Coming out of the court, Debjani was asked about her role in the firm. "My lawyers will say whatever is needed to be said," she replied.
Debjani's lawyer Anirban Guha Thakurata said, "My client has cooperated with the police since the beginning. She has handed over a letter to us, which we will release tomorrow at a press conference. She has got several things to say which are still unspoken."
The same question was put to Sudipta Sen and he replied: "I will tell everything after the investigation gets over."
According to sources close to Debjani, the letter was written in police custody avoiding police scrutiny. Debjani, in the letter, has reportedly sought to explain the "root cause" of the company going bust and those responsible for it.
Sudipta and Debjani were produced before the Bidhannagar court today with both of them were remanded to police custody till May 18.
