OPD HALL OF THE NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF HOMOEOPATHY OPENED

The newly constructed Out Patient Department Hall of the National Institute of Homoeopathy, at Salt Lake, Kolkata has been opened. Inaugurating the Hall the Union Minister of State for Health & Family Welfare Shri Dishesh Trivedi yesterday stressed the need for spread of Homoeopathy treatment facilities. He also laid the foundation stone of the Hostpital Extension Building.
Smt. Anita Das, formal Secretary, Deptt of Ayush, Shri S. K. Panda, Joint Secretary of the Deptt., Dr. Ramji Singh, Chairman Central Council of Homoeopathy and Dr. Ramkrishna Ghosh Mondal, Member of the Council among others were present on the occasion.
The newly constructed OPD Hall will benefit the outdoor patients who at present have to wait in the verandah of the NIH, Dr. Ishwara Das, Director of the Institute informed. He said that the construction work of the hall has taken about five months and cost around Rs.40 lakhs. After the construction of the Hospital Extension Building 150 beds will be added to the Hospital which has at present the capacity of 100 beds only. The Extension Building is expected to be ready by January 2011, Dr. Das said.
