SHRI JATUA VISITS AFFECTED AREAS OF PATHERPRATIMA

 

Kolkata : September 6, 2009

 

The Union Minister of State for Information & Broadcasting Shri C M. Jatua today visited Dakshin Kashinagar and Koemuri areas of Patherpratima block in South 24-Pargana district of West Bengal. The areas have been flooded due to breached embankment and high tide as a result of heavy rain following a deep depression in the Bay of Bengal. Shri Jatua talked to the affected people and asked the district administration to take necessary steps to expeditiously  provide   relief materials  to the affected people.
