SHRI JATUA EMPHASIZES ON EDUCATION OF THE HANDICAPPED CHILDREN

The Minister of State for Information & Broadcasting Choudhury Mohan Jatua has called upon the guardians of the handicapped children to take care of their education. He was speaking at a function in Amtola, Bishnupur of South 24-Parganas today. Shri Jatua said that the handicapped are entitled to similar opportunities like others in the society. The guardians have to remain conscious so that their handicapped children do not lack in education, Shri Jatua said.
About one thousand Physically Handicapped persons were given wheel chair and other aids at the function organised by Rajiv Gandhi Memorial Society. The Union Minister of State for Urban Development Shri Saugata Roy, the Zilla Parishad Sabhadhipati, Ms..Shamima Sheikh, the leader of the opposition in West Bengal Assembly Shri Partha Chattopadhyay and other dignitaries were also present on the occasion.
