Madhya Pradesh High Court Judge appointed

New Delhi: August 21, 2009

 

In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (1) of Article 224 of the Constitution of India, the President is pleased to appoint Shri Ishwar Sahai Shrivastrava, to be an Additional Judge of the Madhya Pradesh High Court for a period of two years with effect from the date he assumes charge of his office.

CDS Exam – II 2008 results announced

New Delhi: August 21, 2009

 

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has declared the results of Combined Defence Services Examiniation - II, 2008. A total of 260 candidates have finally qualified for admission to the (i) Officers' Training Academy, Chennai for 90th Short Service Commission Course (for Men) (236 candidates); and (ii) 4th Short Service Commission for Women (Non-Technical) Course (24 candidates) commencing in October, 2009. The list of 90th Short Service Commission Course (for Men) also includes the names of the candidates who were recommended earlier on the basis of the result of the same examination for admission to the Indian Military Academy, Dehradun / Naval Academy, Ezimala, Kerala and Air Force Academy, Hyderabad (Pre-Flying) Training Course(s).

 

The number of vacancies, as intimated by the Government for (i) 90th Short Service Commission Course (for men) is 175 & for (ii) 4th Short Service Commission (Women Non-Technical) Course is 29.

 

The result of Medical Examination of candidates has not been taken into account in preparing the merit list. The candidature of all the candidates is provisional.

Candidates can also obtain information regarding results by accessing to UPSC web-site http.//www.upsc.gov.in .
