PDP-BJP Coalition Government is working against the interests of the common masses as well as employees of the J&K State and this act of BJP-PDP Government is being questioned by the common masses at large.
PRESS – NOTE
Social Movement Party (SMP) today organized a "PRESS CONFERENCE" on the issue of "RESERVATION IN PROFASSIONAL COLLEGES & DIRECT RECRUITMENTS, PROMOTIONS AND BACKLOG QUOTA - WITH RESPECT TO SCs, STs & OBCs IN THE STATE OF J&K VIS-À-VIS CENTER" in the Press Club, Jammu on Monday, 19-10-2015 at 11:30 a.m. held by its National Secretary - General Mr. Ashok Kumar Basotra.
Addressing the media persons, Mr. Basotra alleged that the present PDP-BJP Coalition Government is working against the interests of the common masses as well as employees of the J&K State and this act of BJP-PDP Government is being questioned by the common masses at large. The Constitution of India provides that the opportunity is a fundamental right of all the citizens of India, but the present Coalition Government is using this policy to deprive the Aboriginal Indigenous Indians viz. SCs, STs, OBCs and converted minorities of their fundamental rights. Mr. Basotra further expressed that democracy is a form of ruling in which due and adequate representation must be given to all the sections of the society and no section should be deprived of its due share which expression is enshrined under the provisions of Fundamental Rights enshrined under the Constitution of India.
Mr. Basotra raised the concern about the hue and cry of so called upper castes in India vis-à-vis State of J&K and agreed in principle that despite being more than 9% of the total population of India as well as State of J&K, they seem to be under represented in all the spheres of Government including administration, judiciary and media as well as professional colleges. Mr. Basotra assured to all such classes/castes that as soon as SMP would come into power in J&K State as well as in Center, SMP shall abrogate the present system of reservation in favour of SCs, STs & OBCs completely; and shall implement a new system of reservation in favour of so called upper castes strictly as per their population percentage i.e. 9% reservation in India vis-à-vis State of J&K with a cap on these castes so that they should not cross the limit of population percentage. They would get 9% reservation IN PROFASSIONAL COLLEGES & DIRECT RECRUITMENTS, PROMOTIONS WITH BACKLOG QUOTA. Rest 91% of the seats/posts shall be thrown open to all the remaining population which is constituted of Aboriginal Indigenous Indians viz. SCs, STs, OBCs & Converted Minorities from them only without any favour to any of them.
Mr. Basotra disclosed this new policy of his party and stated that SMP is inspired by one of the greatest leaders of India namely Perrier E. V. Ramaswamy whose political party viz. "Justice Party" remained in power in Madras Presidency before independence and implemented the same pattern of reservation in favour of micro minority of this country viz. so called upper castes or swaran castes. Perrier E. V. Ramaswamy was also kind enough to give reservation to these castes strictly in proportion to their then population in Madras Presidency.
Mr. Basotra also expressed serious concern to the recent verdict of the Apex Court with respect to appointment of High Court & Supreme Court Judges, and stated that there exists no provision of Collegiums in the Constitution of India and this Judgment has been given just to empower 136 so called upper caste families ruling the roost in these Courts who appoint their kiths & kins only through collegiums system. Mr. Basotra also expressed that SMP shall ensure that so called upper castes should remain within their ceiling cap of population percentage in all these courts once it comes into power. Only then the common masses would be able to get justice in this country, Mr. Basotra asserted forcefully.
Finally, the SMP thanked all the Press & Media persons who attended the Press Conference, and also thanked its members, activists & leaders to make this Press Conference a grand success. Prominent amongst those who attended the press-conference were Mr. Dayal Singh, Mr. Dheeraj Thapa, Mr. Ajit Kumar Vashishath, Dr. Jeet Raj Bazala, Mr. Ghulam Mohammed Bedar, Mr. Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din Shah, Mr. Hem Raj phonsa, Mr. Des Raj Yadav, Mr. Ajid Hussain, Mr. Parshotam Kumar, Dr. Bodh Raj Bawa, Ms. Madhu Bala, Ms. Rattna Bawa, Mr. Sarwan Kumar Kundal, Mr. Bansi Lal Chargotra, Mr. Jai Paul, Ms. Purshotama Kumari, Mr. Ajay Jagotra, Mr. Bharat Bhushan & Mr. Kanwarjeet Sethi.
